FxPro for beginners · Nigeria

New to trading? Start here. — FxPro Nigeria 2026

FxPro is an online broker — the company you buy and sell currencies, gold and shares through. This page explains what trading costs, how you get your money back out, and how to practise free before risking a single naira.

Both options open the same quick FxPro Direct sign-up (email + phone). You pick Demo or Real on the next screen — no card and no documents are needed for the demo.

2006 founded, HQ London170+ countries$100 minimum deposit

Trading, in plain words. You buy something — euros, gold, an Apple share — hoping its price moves your way, then sell it back. Here you trade them as CFDs (see the small dictionary below).

Prices move both ways. You can lose money as well as make it — and most beginners lose while they learn.

So start where losing is free: the demo account — same markets, same app, virtual money.

Start in three steps

Everything happens in one place — the FxPro Direct account area. Sign-up is a short form (email + phone); document review times are shown right there when you upload.

  1. Practise on virtual money

Sign up with email and phone, pick “Demo” on the next screen, and you get virtual money to trade with — in the same app real traders use. Free — and you can open a fresh demo any time.

No card, no documents needed for this step.
  2. Verify your ID early

Upload a government ID (international passport, driver’s licence or national ID) and one proof of address (bank statement or utility bill under 6 months old) — before your first deposit. This is the single step that keeps withdrawals smooth later.

Only trying the demo for now? Skip this step — it’s needed the moment you switch to real money.
  3. Fund from $100, start small

Bank card or bank transfer — typically in naira — plus e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller. FxPro itself charges $0 on deposits. Start with the smallest trade size: 0.01 lot.

The exact method list for Nigeria and the rate are shown in FxPro Direct before you confirm anything.

What a trade actually costs

Not promises — measurements. Last trading day measured: Wed 5 Aug 2026 (markets close at weekends). How we measure →

Who is “we”? We are not FxPro — this site is run by an independent partner. We keep a real FxPro trading terminal running every trading day and publish the numbers it shows, so you judge the costs from records, not adverts. The terminal runs the Raw+ account type — every measured number below is Raw+.
≈ $0.10to open and close the smallest trade (0.01 lot) on EUR/USD: $0.02 spread + $0.08 commission. On the smallest 0.01-lot orders the commission works out at $4 per lot per side — $0.04 to open and $0.04 to close. From 0.1 lot it’s $3.5.
≈ $0.23to buy and sell one ounce of gold (0.01 lot): $0.15 typical spread (24-hour median) + $0.08 commission.Median of 901,238 price ticks over 24 hours.
83 mstypical (median) time for an order to execute — faster than a blink. 0 failed orders out of 27 test trades.Measured 24 Jun 2026 · most sizes 78–89 ms; one gold order size averaged 141 ms (peak 250 ms). Spreads are recorded daily; this execution probe re-runs periodically.
$0.09per night cost to keep a 0.01-lot EUR/USD buy open overnight. Wednesday counts as three nights — that’s how weekends are billed.Shown as −0.09 in the terminal; some positions earn instead of pay — see swap rates.

On the beginner-friendly MT4 Standard account the same EUR/USD micro trade costs about $0.12 — one all-in price, no separate commission (from FxPro’s published 1.2-pip Standard spread; our terminal measures Raw+ only). See today’s live spreads →

CFD
A contract that follows the price of something — gold, a currency, a share — without you owning the thing itself. It’s what you actually trade here.
pip
The smallest step a currency price usually makes. On a 0.01-lot EUR/USD trade, one pip is worth about $0.10.
spread
The small gap between the buy price and the sell price. This gap is what a trade costs you — we measured EUR/USD at 0.2 pips (median) on our account.
lot
The standard trade size. You don’t need a whole one: 0.01 lot (a “micro lot”) is the minimum, and it’s where beginners should start.
leverage
Borrowed buying power — up to 1:200 here, varying by account and eligibility. It multiplies losses exactly as fast as profits. Beginners should use far less than the maximum.
median
The middle value of all our measurements: half the time the price was better than this, half worse. More honest than an average, which one wild minute can distort.
swap
The small fee (or credit) for keeping a trade open overnight. See swap rates for every instrument.

Your money: in and out

The question every beginner asks first: “will I get my money back out?” Here is how it works, honestly.

Putting money in

  • Typically: bank card or bank transfer in naira, plus e-wallets (Skrill, Neteller). The exact methods available for Nigeria are shown in FxPro Direct before you pay anything.
  • FxPro itself charges $0 deposit fees; your bank may add its own transfer charges.
  • From $100.
  • Card deposits usually arrive in about 10 minutes, according to FxPro.

Getting money out

  • Withdrawals go back to the same method you paid in with — a standard anti-fraud rule.
  • Typical times: e-wallets the same day, cards about 1 business day, bank wire 3–5 business days, according to FxPro.
  • The most common reason withdrawals get stuck is unfinished ID verification — step 2 above removes that risk before it starts.
  • Verified and still waiting? Ask us on Live Help — we’ll help you chase it.

Deposits and withdrawals are managed in the FxPro Direct account area.

Who is FxPro? The facts

Company facts and figures above as published by FxPro.

Official Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team

FxPro has backed the McLaren Formula 1 team since 2018, with the partnership extended into 2026 — the logo is on the cars, the helmets and the race suits, visible in any race broadcast.

Which account should a beginner pick?

MT4 and MT5 are just versions of the trading platform — the account works the same way. Pick by pricing:

FOR BEGINNERS

MT4 Standard

One all-in price: the spread starts at 1.2 pips (as published by FxPro) and there is no separate commission. Your 0.01-lot EUR/USD trade costs about $0.12 — nothing else to calculate.

Raw+ — when you’re ready

Raw spreads from 0.0 pips (we measured EUR/USD at 0.2 median) plus $3.5 commission per lot per side ($4 rate on the smallest orders). Cheaper per trade once you trade bigger sizes.

Compare all five account types →

GOLD SPREAD · MEASUREDGold trades tighter here than the interbank reference — we checked. During London–New York hours our measured Raw+ spread averages $0.15/oz vs $0.56/oz on an independent interbank reference feed in the same hours — about 73% tighter. Raw+ commission applies on top: $3.5 per lot per side ($4 rate on the smallest orders).Measured gold conditions →A note on the numbers: the ≈$0.23 in the gold card above is a total — spread plus commission, round-the-clock median. The $0.15/oz here is the spread alone, averaged over the same hours as the reference feed — matched hours make the comparison fair.Spreads may fluctuate and widen depending on liquidity, news and market conditions.

Trade from your phone

The FxPro app handles everything: trading, deposits, withdrawals, price alerts and a learning hub — store rating 4.5★, 10M+ downloads.

One honest note: on a weak connection the app can lag — but your orders execute on FxPro’s servers (we measured a median of 83 ms), not on your phone, so a slow screen doesn’t mean a slow trade.

You get the download link inside FxPro Direct right after sign-up.

Questions beginners actually ask

Is $100 really enough to start?
Yes — $100 is the minimum deposit, and the minimum trade size is 0.01 lot, which costs about $0.10 to open and close on EUR/USD. That is enough to learn with real money in small steps. It is not enough to make a living from — anyone who promises that is not being honest with you. And you can start with $0 on the demo. Only ever trade money you can afford to lose.
Is FxPro legit?
FxPro Group Limited was founded in 2006, is headquartered in London with offices on four continents, reports clients in 170+ countries, and has been an Official Partner of the McLaren F1 Team since 2018. This site is run by an independent partner — and the numbers we publish are measured on a real FxPro terminal every trading day, so you can judge the trading conditions from data rather than advertising.
How do I withdraw my money, and how long does it take?
You request a withdrawal in the FxPro Direct account area, and the money goes back to the method you deposited with. Typical times, according to FxPro: e-wallets the same day, cards about 1 business day, bank wire 3–5 business days. FxPro itself charges $0 on most withdrawal methods.
Why do some people say their withdrawal was stuck?
In the reviews we studied, by far the most common cause is one thing: the person deposited before finishing ID verification — you can read exactly that story, with its happy ending, in the reviews above. Upload your ID and proof of address right after registering — before any deposit — and the path out stays as smooth as the path in. Verified and still waiting? Ask a human on our Live Help page.
What fees will I actually pay?
On MT4 Standard: just the spread (from 1.2 pips) — no separate commission. On Raw+: the raw spread plus commission — on the smallest 0.01-lot orders it works out at $4 per lot per side, which is $0.04 to open and $0.04 to close. Deposits and most withdrawals: $0 from FxPro’s side. Holding a trade overnight costs (or sometimes earns) a small overnight fee called a swap — about $0.09 per night on a 0.01-lot EUR/USD buy. One to know: an inactivity fee applies after 6 months without trading — the current amount is shown in FxPro Direct.
Is there a swap-free (halal) account?
Yes — FxPro offers swap-free (Islamic) accounts with no overnight interest, available on request on eligible account types, according to FxPro. Admin fees may apply after a grace period, so confirm the current terms when you apply.
Is FxPro available to eligible traders?
FxPro states that it accepts clients from many countries and offers its forex and CFD accounts to Nigerian traders. Availability can change, so check the current details before signing up.
Can I fund and withdraw in Nigerian naira?
Yes. FxPro states that Nigerian clients can hold and fund an account in NGN, alongside other major base currencies.
