Two of the five usual reasons an expected cost misses live inside this account's pricing. The FxPro Raw+ account is a raw-spread account aimed at active traders: according to FxPro it shows spreads from 0.0 pips on major pairs and charges a commission of $3.50 per lot per side instead of building the cost into a wider spread. So an estimate misses when it counts that commission once rather than twice — a completed round turn is charged on the way in and on the way out, $7.00 per standard lot — and it misses again when the figure was made for the Standard account, which has no separate commission at all and keeps the same cost inside a wider fill price. Raw+ runs on MetaTrader 4, and a similar raw-pricing model is available on cTrader. Check the size too before calling a commission difference an error: the smallest orders carry their own minimum charge, so commission does not scale down in a straight line.

What Raw+ actually delivers (measured)

What the Raw+ account actually delivered when we measured it on FxPro’s own MT5 feed:

Order sizeCommission (Raw+)
0.01 lot$4.00 per side
0.1 lot$3.50 per side
1.0 lot$3.50 per side

FxPro Raw+ at a glance

The commission half of a mismatch

Commission is the easiest part of a cost gap to settle, because it is knowable in advance. It is charged per side, which means a completed trade pays it twice: once to open and once to close. Most estimates that come out short have simply counted the entry.

The second trap is scaling. The per-lot figure is not a rate you can divide freely: the smallest orders carry a minimum charge of their own, so a ticket a hundredth of a lot in size does not pay a hundredth of the commission. The tiers on this page give the charge for each size directly, which removes the arithmetic from the argument.

Which account the ticket was actually priced on

An estimate silently assumes an account, and that assumption is the single most common reason two cost figures disagree. The test is visual rather than numerical: if a commission is written against the deal, the trade was priced the Raw+ way, as a raw spread plus a separate charge. If nothing is written separately, the cost went into the fill price and the account is the spread-only one.

This matters most right after a switch. Figures noted down under one account keep working arithmetically under the other, which is exactly why the mistake survives: nothing looks broken, the total is just consistently off in one direction.

Three estimates that miss on Raw+

The first treats the advertised floor as the usual case. Spreads from 0.0 pips on major pairs describe the best conditions, not the average one, so an estimate built on the floor will always look better than the ticket.

The second forgets that a raw spread is still a spread: it is variable, so the spread half of the cost is a range and not a number. The third carries a per-lot commission down to a fraction of a lot in a straight line. Correct those three and the remaining difference on a Raw+ trade is usually just the minute the order was filled in — which is checked on our live spreads page.

Frequently asked questions

I was charged commission twice on one trade — is that right?
Yes. Raw+ commission is charged per side: $3.50 per lot when the position opens and again when it closes, $7.00 round turn on a standard lot. An estimate that counted a single side comes out short by exactly half.
My commission does not match the per-lot figure — why?
Commission is tiered by order size and the smallest orders carry a minimum, so taking the per-lot figure and dividing it down to a small ticket understates what is actually charged. The charge for each size is in the table on this page.
How do I tell whether a trade was priced on Raw+ or Standard?
By whether a commission appears against the deal at all. Raw+ writes it down separately alongside a raw spread from 0.0 pips; the Standard account writes nothing separately, because the cost is already inside the price you were filled at.
What is the FxPro Raw+ account?
A raw-spread MetaTrader 4 account with spreads from 0.0 pips on major pairs and a commission of $3.50 per lot per side, aimed at active traders and scalpers.
Which differences on Raw+ are normal and which are not?
The spread half is variable and differs from one fill to the next, so a difference there is expected. The commission half is deterministic for a given size, so a commission that does not match is the part worth raising.
Is Raw+ or Standard cheaper for me?
It depends on how often and on what you trade: Raw+ wins once the spread saving beats the $7 round-turn commission, while the Standard all-in spread can suit less frequent trading. For a cost check the useful point is that the two are not interchangeable — an estimate written for one will not match a ticket priced on the other.

What traders report

This set drifts away from the spread quickly. What these traders raise instead is order behaviour — fills described as instant with the price landing where it was set, one claim of fixed quotes on some European pairs, metals working out fine on the raw account, and one voice that values the account mainly for how cheap it is to keep a position open overnight. On cost the verdict is flat rather than glowing: fair, with the per-trade fee acknowledged as part of the deal.

For my account, I got instant orders, so spread always matches the set price, and more to the point - fixed spreads for some europairs, which makes or breaks it for my strat pretty much,
